Personal training · Laguna Hills
Coached by the person who wrote the program.
Iron Ambition coaches you one-on-one, or with a partner you bring, in a private Laguna Hills studio you book by the hour. Thirty minutes or sixty, from $40, with the same coach every time.
Matched, then programmed
One coach writes it, and the same one runs it.
Which of the two you train with is a decision you make at the consult, before you have paid for anything.
- 01
You are matched to one coach
Austin specializes in functional training, the movements that carry into the rest of your week, with twelve years behind it. Rachael holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and works strength, body composition and nutrition together. The match is made at the consult, and it holds.
- 02
Thirty minutes or sixty, alone or with a partner
Thirty suits people training often around a full schedule. Sixty suits people training two or three times a week. Bringing someone costs less each than two separate sessions, and the program then accounts for both of you.
- 03
The program is built backwards
It starts from what you want to still be doing in twenty years, then works back to what this month has to look like: carry, climb, travel, keep up, compete. Your history, your injuries and the hours you can actually train are inputs, not obstacles to work around.
- 04
The same coach runs every hour of it
The person who wrote your program is the one standing there while you do it, so the session starts where the last one finished.
Who trains here
People of every age who want to move well in twenty years.
The studio was built for individuals of all ages working on overall health and everyday functional movement. In practice that means a mix nobody expects.
- People who have never trained and do not want an audience for the first six months.
- Lifters who have been at it for years and have stopped getting anywhere.
- Busy professionals whose schedule has beaten every routine they have tried.
- Couples and friends who train as a pair, which costs less each than training alone.

What it costs
Session rates, in public.
Rates are quoted as a range because session length, frequency and whether you train alone or with a partner all move the number. The consult settles it before anything is booked.

Small group
Bring someone. It costs less each.
Two people in the same hour is $150–$170 rather than two separate sessions. The coaching is still hands-on, because there are two of you, not twenty. Partners, friends, a parent and an adult child. The program accounts for both of you.
Common questions
What people ask before booking a first session.
- How long is a personal training session?
- Sessions run thirty or sixty minutes, one-on-one or with a partner you bring. Which one suits you depends on what you are working on and how often you train, and it is settled at the consult rather than sold as a package up front.
- Can I train with a partner?
- Yes, and it costs less each. Two people in the same hour is $150 to $170 rather than two separate sessions. The coaching stays hands-on because there are two of you, not twenty. Partners, friends, a parent and an adult child all train here as pairs.
- Who will be coaching me?
- One of them, matched to you at the consult, and the same one every session after that. Austin has more than twelve years coaching, specializing in functional training and everyday movement. Rachael holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and over six years of experience, working strength, body composition and nutrition together.
- Is there a female personal trainer at the studio?
- Yes. Rachael coaches in person at the studio and online, with a Kinesiology degree and over six years of training experience. She works with busy professionals, beginners and long-time lifters on strength, body composition and confidence.
- What if I have not trained in years?
- That is a common starting point here, and it is what the free consult is for. Austin and Rachael ask what your body has already been through before anything is programmed. If you have a condition or an injury that needs medical clearance, get that from your doctor first.
The consult is free
Find out which of them you'd be working with.
Tell Austin and Rachael what you are working toward, and they will tell you which of the two should take it. If the answer is neither, they will tell you that too.

Before you book
Read it before you walk in.
A private studio is harder to picture than a gym you can wander around, because the only way in is an appointment. So here it is in writing: how the studio works, who coaches you, what the consult is, and how your rate gets worked out.
- Open the page and read it. The form at the bottom is optional.
- Every rate is published in it, because every rate is published anyway.
