The Iron Ambition training floor in Laguna Hills

About the studio

Two coaches, one room, and a reason for it.

Iron Ambition is a private training and recovery studio on Cabot Road in Laguna Hills. It is deliberately small, and it is not going to get bigger.

Why it exists

It started with watching it go the other way.

Austin started Iron Ambition after watching an unhealthy lifestyle take its toll inside his own family. He is direct about why the studio is set up the way it is: he would rather help someone take control of their health before it is too late than sell them a membership they will not use.

That is the whole reason there is no open-gym option. Every hour on the calendar has a coach attached to it, because a room full of people doing something slightly wrong on their own was never the point.

The recovery room came next, for the same reason. Telling people that sleep and recovery matter, then handing them a list of places across town to go and do it, was never going to work. So it is in the building.

Who you'll work with

You keep the same coach.

Not a rotating staff and not whoever is free that morning. The person who wrote your programme is the person who runs your session.

Austin

Owner & Personal Trainer

More than twelve years coaching, specialising in functional training and practical fitness — cutting the noise and focusing on what actually works for the person in front of him.

He works mostly with people who want to be able to do things in twenty years that they can do now: carry, climb, travel, keep up. The programme is built backwards from that.

Rachael

Personal Trainer & Online Fitness Coach

A Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and over six years of training experience, coaching both in person at the studio and online for people out of the area.

She works with busy professionals, gym beginners and long-time lifters on strength, body composition and confidence — through hybrid training, balanced nutrition and a routine that survives a real schedule rather than an imaginary one.
